Without any delay, just a week after the Wroclaw trip, I planned a week long trip to Netherlands, as I have relatives living there. Woke up at 01:50 and I was there at 10:30. My cousin welcomed me warmly. Since we were already in Amsterdam and no one I know lives in Amsterdam, we decided to hang out around the city centre. We went to the canals and had lunch somewhere nearby. Afterwards, we tried our chance at the Anne Frank house, though it was totally booked until 3rd of Janruary.

We went to Groningen. Most of my relatives were there. The city centre was quite pretty. After spending a few days with relatives, we spent time at The Hague. My cousin offered me to use his bike, but the problem was biking in Turkey is basically anarchy compared to the rules and laws you have in Netherlands. I happily accepted it anyway. Needless to say, it was chaotic. Without going into too much detail, I ended up at the enterance of a big highway with the bike along the way. Lovely.

Some other day, we visited Delft which was pretty close, and roamed around all day. We have also been to the Museum Prinsenhof Delft which was about historical events and paintings related to the city. Delft was awesome. I would even prefer it over Amsterdam.

We went to Amsterdam again. This time, it was around Vondelpark. It was surprisingly colder, probably due to the fact that there weren't many buildings around to block the wind. We also tried our chance at the Royal Palace and Van Gogh Museum, to no avail of course.

My cousin had the brilliant idea to go wall climbing (or bouldering). It was my first time (yes, first time) going to wall climbing. It was extremely fun. The thing it taught me was that my forearms suck. I need to excercise my forearms, as they were the bottleneck. I could do some of the climbs of which the difficulty level was 4. With all the ones that I failed to do, it was my forearms giving up. I am sure I could do some of 5A climbs if I had the strength in my forearms (they disappointed me), as none of the other muscles were tired enough for me to give up mid-climb.

I also had a yummy brownie.

Back in Poland, after organising -which I learned that it is a lot of work when there are a lot of people-, we went ice skating as 8 people. It has been years since I ice skated so I was not really the best at it (I was not really the best at it anyway). Though at least I can proudly say that this time, it was not a first time for an activity that I should normally experience earlier.

Me and a friend also started to grow garden cresses, which I did not know existed before. All you need are a pot (or a plate), cotton, paper towel and seeds waiting to grow. Although they are not fully ripe yet, we ate 2 of them and they are slightly bitter but nice.
